Internationally Reputed Scientific Conference to be Held for the First Time in Pokhara

Third International Conference

KATHMANDU SYMPOSIA ON ADVANCED MATERIALS

KaSAM – 2016 accompanying KASChem – 2016

October 17-24, 2016, Pokhara, Nepal

Kathmandu Symposia on Advanced Materials (KaSAM) is an initiative of Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI) undertaken to strengthen networking of materials scientists from South Asian Countries with those from the rest of the world and has the motto: Cross-Linking Science and Virtues. The main objective of the biannual series of International Conferences is to provide rigorous discussion forum for the materials scientists on recent advances, challenges and solution paths in different areas of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE). The First and Second KaSAM held in Kathmandu in 2012 and 2014 were highly successful, attracting eminent scientists, young researchers, and students from over 20 countries across the globe.

The third International Conference KaSAM-2016, which is being organized by Nepal Polymer Institute for the first time in the beautiful city of Pokhara at the lap of Mt. Machhapucchre, in cooperation with Pokhara University (Pokhara) and Institut für Polymerwerkstoffe (Merseburg, Germany), will focus on Nanostructured and Biorelated Materials. The technical programme will comprise invited lectures as well as oral and poster sessions. We invite you to participate in and contribute to the symposia. The conference and accompanying Autumn School are hoped to be milestone in promoting education and researches in the field of advanced materials, chemistry and chemical technologies in Nepal.

KASChem-2016

The KaSAM – 2016 congress will be accompanied by Second Kathmandu Autumn School on Chemistry and Chemical Technologies (KASChem-2016) in Pokhara, Chitwan and Biratnagar. The courses are targeted to the students and young researchers giving an overview of Recent Developments and Research Trends in Synthesis, Characterization and Applications of Nanomaterials. Please visit: www.kasam-nepal.org for detailed program.
